I don't blame them! exclaims Mrs. M. Ordinary investors don't see the stock market as a safe place for their money anymore. The greed and spoilt behaviour of high flyers has made the likes of us afraid to risk our funds with irresponsible behaviour.
We read about £20million bonuses, buy outs worth trillions, lowly traders ordering £800 bottles of wine for lunch. Who is their right mind is going to hand over their life savings for this kind of waste and excess. Then economists act surprised that the stock market is in collapse! It's only common sense. Look at what's been going on. How can confidence in the global financial system be bolstered and how can investors be re-assured when greedy bonuses are still being given while the market is in turmoil?
